Snorkeling is an optional activity on our one flexible three-hour private boat tour with Captain Justin. At the dock, choose snorkeling, dolphin watching, Shell Island beach time and shell searching, or a combination. Your captain chooses snorkeling spots based on weather, water clarity, and safe conditions. The final departure of the day also offers sunset views when conditions allow.

A Private Shell Island Snorkeling & Dolphin Tour
Your Shell Island snorkeling tour is a 3‑hour private charter for up to 6 guests. We’ll cruise through St. Andrews Bay, look for wild dolphins, and stop at Shell Island and nearby sandbars so you can swim and snorkel in shallow, protected water. Your captain will choose the best spots based on the day’s tides, wind, and visibility.
Hands‑On Discovery
We point out interesting shells, seagrass, and marine life so kids and adults can learn while they explore. When possible, we show you how to gently observe and then return creatures like sand dollars and starfish to their home.

Green sea turtles and loggerhead turtles frequent the area. It is a thrill to quietly observe them swimming through the grass beds or coming up for air near the boat.
Dolphins
The resident bottlenose dolphins of St. Andrews Bay are famous for their playful nature. You may see them jumping in the boat’s wake or socializing in the distance while you snorkel.
Sand Dollars
The sandy bottoms around Shell Island are often covered with sand dollars. You’ll see them while exploring the shallow water, and we’ll show you which ones are safe to return to their home.
Starfish
From giant cushions to smaller species, starfish are always a favorite find for snorkelers of all ages. You can gently observe them in the shallow, clear water.
